Between beautiful New Year's Guests, to my friend Zuch spending the night, we never really got around to making some resolutions.
1. Write a thank you letter everyday (which you can find at simplethankfulness.blogspot.com). I just thought it would be good to have a way to be consciously thankful of everything from my mother to peanut butter.
2. Run 3 miles. Just at some point. I have never been much of a runner (except this one summer when I went to a sports camp and did track) and have always wanted to be. This year I want to be able to run three miles at least once this year. I could never ever run again. But I want to do it just to prove that I am capable.
3. Read a book a month (this month is The Great Divorce, which I'm almost finished with!) I just flat out need to read more.
4. Finish my Isaiah Bible study.
5. Live more simply. This means I need to be living inside of my budget (oh goodness, The Budget) and owning less stuff (yet more high quality stuff). I need to save more and own less. And be thankful, well read, fit, in the Word.
It would be really exciting if I accomplished all of the goals this year. I completed some of last years (not always in the time frame that I meant to, but they are nonetheless accomplished!), and hoping to continue in this tradition.
Sparkles and Happy New Years!
Em
